Dnipro Breakfast: A Signature Blend by Kostiantyn Mazuryk That Started as a Personal Habit
“It wasn’t born from a recipe someone had pre-written on paper. At first, it was my personal habit.
I always had a few packs of good black tea on hand: Chinese Jin Jun Mei from Fujian, Kenyan tea from the Imenti estate, Ceylon Gold of Taprobane, and a rich Assam from the Seleng estate. I started mixing them for myself, slightly tweaking the proportions each time.
That’s how a blend gradually took shape, bringing together my favorite types of black tea. Each of them has its own character and plays a specific role, and together they create a balanced and expressive flavor:
- Jin Jun Mei provides a honeyed softness, with notes of dried fruits, cocoa, and fresh pastry.
- Kenyan Imenti tea brings juiciness, fruity undertones, and a light, noble bitterness.
- Ceylon Gold of Taprobane is responsible for brightness, freshness, and a characteristic astringency.
- Assam Seleng creates a dense foundation, adding malty, bready notes and a long, rich aftertaste.
I wanted to get a tea that, in the morning, would be strong, aromatic, and complex all at once, but without unnecessary harshness. I wanted it to have sweetness, astringency, and depth, with every component complementing the others.
Thus, Dnipro Breakfast was born-a tea I initially created for myself. And later, I decided it was worth sharing with others.”

When our entire TEAHOUSE team tried this tea, we liked it so much that we simply couldn’t leave it as just an author’s experiment. First, we treated our friends and guests to it, and later we decided: this tea is exceptionally delicious and must remain in our permanent assortment.
The name for it was also obvious. Dnipro Breakfast-in honor of our hometown, where we live, work, create tea, and develop TEAHOUSE. We presented the blend on the eve of City Day, making it our special tea dedication to Dnipro.
Today, Dnipro Breakfast remains in our permanent assortment. And it is especially pleasing to us that a tea once created for a personal morning cup is now being brewed by people in various cities.
We love stories like this. When a product is born not because it needs to be created, but because you truly want to share it. And for us, Dnipro Breakfast is exactly that-a tea created in Dnipro, with perfect components and proportions, dedicated to the city we call our own.
